Searching for the perfect tree

Well, here are my pictures to match the blog from yesterday:) No promises on how often this will happen, but I'll try:)

Heading out into the bush to find the perfect tree...

We always let the kids each take a whack at it before Ben cuts it down...youngest to oldest...Kirby was tickled pink that he was allowed to help...

Manda was so proud...

Benjamin felt very grown up...he was allowed to do it all by himself this year!

In the end though...for obvious safety reasons & the time constraint called getting dark...Ben cut down the rest of the tree while the kids watched...

All the kids wanted to help pull the tree...it worked for a few feet till eveyone fell on top of each other...

Benjamin pulled it a lot of the way to the van...

Thought I'd throw this one in for fun...don't get many pictures of myself...this has become the "tradition" so that Mommy is in one of our Christmas tree hunt pictures:)...

Our very unique...not exactly what we thought...tree...kids certainly don't care:)

I got the lights on the tree (that's my job)...Kirby asked if he could plug them in...he ran over so excited, plugged them in & promptly came to the front of the tree & said, "Tada"...

Manda liked the lights...and wanted her picture taken:)...

Benjamin got right into the decorating...trying to reach the top half of the tree...

And finally...Ben's job...placing the angel...

So here's our tree as the kids decorated it last night...tomorrow I'll add some decorations to the top half to finish it up:)...

Sleepover with Elliotts...so fun...popcorn to make it a perfect sleepover:)...

Playing in the snow...
6 kids who love each other very much...have had an amazing 6 months together & will miss each other a whole lot!...Jemma, Amanda, Alexis, Benjamin, Noah, Kirby...

And finally...the Christmas banquet...Josh got 5 questions right for us in the game show to help us end in a tie for first:)...

Take the light of Jesus & pass it around!!!...

Well, there you have it...hope you enjoyed:)
